Who We Are

Our Story

A home built from love for the mountains.

How Hideout Began

Hideout Manali was born from a simple idea: that the mountains deserve more than just a place to sleep. In 2018, a family of avid trekkers from Delhi fell in love with a piece of land on the edge of Old Manali — a quiet slope overlooking the Kullu Valley, surrounded by ancient deodar cedars.

They spent two years building slowly and carefully, using local stone, reclaimed wood, and the hands of Himachali craftspeople. Every room, every corner, every detail was designed to feel like it belonged here — not imposed on the landscape, but grown from it.

Today, Hideout is a small team of mountain lovers who believe that the best hospitality is the kind that feels effortless. We want you to arrive as a guest and leave as family.

What We Stand For

Rooted in Place

We source locally, hire locally, and celebrate the culture, food, and craft of Himachal Pradesh in everything we do.

Slow Travel

We believe the best way to know a place is to stay long enough to feel it. We encourage guests to slow down, breathe, and be present.

Responsible Hosting

We minimise our footprint — solar water heating, waste composting, and a strict no-plastic policy are just the beginning.
